From Oct 10th 110 London Buses will twinkle throughout the capital as part of the launch campaign for Universal’s latest family release “Nanny McPhee”.  The twinkle is provided courtesy of Litelogic, who bring their own magic to outdoor advertising.

Nanny McPhee, played by Emma Thompson, is a nanny with magical powers who is hired to look after the seven unruly children of the recently widowed Mr Brown (Colin Firth). The brief from Steve Hunt Snr Media Manager at UIP was to create a magical fairy dust effect using twinkling lights, to bring the campaign to life. Zenith Optimedia and Meridian challenged Viacom Outdoor to deliver. Working in partnership with design and production company Hive Associates, Viacom Outdoor created the unique lighting effect with 350 LED lights that are embedded into each bus side and flick on and off randomly to create a twinkling and sparkling effect.

Steve Hunt commented: “Nanny McPhee is a film all about magic and mystery and we wanted to create a campaign that could recreate this enchantment aimed at children and families. The twinkling buses deliver this perfectly and look fantastic.”
