Disclite Overview

Corporate Image

The single Disclite, in a unique circular form provides an ideal platform for companies looking to use LED technology to promote and enhance a corporate image as a standalone digital sign or integrated into a corporate standard information display.

The replacement of existing back lit corporate signage with a high visibility LED sign will provide the flexibility to enhance corporate signage with dynamic content to inform as well as attract.

Visibility

Disclite is a high brightness display consistent with outdoor LED screen technology with can provide image visibility and recognition at up to 100 metres in bright sunlight.

The display is an ideal solution to clients who want to attract the attention of consumers at a distance with easily identifiable images and brand identification.

Readability

The patented technology in Disclite provides an LED display with 2mm resolution and 170° viewing angle producing a high quality image with fine detail capable of viewing at close distances of less than 2 metres.

The display ideal for conveying detailed information which is easily readable at varying angles and elevations even when the screen is mounted at high level to attract the attention of passing pedestrians and road users.

Power Consumption

Using less than 270 watts per disc the Disclite presents an efficient display which surpasses any other comparative outdoor digital screen. The ability to replace existing backlit paper poster advertising sites without the requirement for major service installation costs, provides a powerful argument for conversion to flexible digital technology with "Green" credentials.

Integration

Disclite can be provided as a standalone display or can equally be integrated into larger format multi technology advertising formats or architectural structures.

The system is currently available in 2 standalone formats;

The Single Disc is a revolutionary circular LED display at 850mm diameter. The single disc is aimed at providing dynamic images for traditional outdoor signage, display or advertising. As standard in its own enclosure, the single disc represents a low cost entry into digital signage.

The Twin Disc provides a rectangular 1200 x 600 mm outdoor LED display in either portrait or landscape format for dynamic front of house or pedestrian thoroughfare locations. The display is equivalent to a 52" LCD display but with the capability to be viewable in direct sunlight.

Other configurations integrating up to 6 Disclites in a single display and mounting Disclite units back to back are possible but will require special design activities.

Unique Features

The DiscLite is a unique display system that utilises LED technology to provide the highest resolution, high brightness outdoor advertising images in high ambient light conditions.

Currently outdoor LED screens can provide 6mm resolution and be effective in bright conditions. The technology will eventually achieve 4mm resolution but for small format screens there are insufficient pixels to provide picture resolution for close viewing provided by comparable to LCD.

The DiscLite resolution, which at 2mm is the highest resolution LED digital outdoor advertising technology anywhere in the world coupled with the cost which is significantly cheaper than any other displays currently available, result in vast opportunities for this hardware solution.

The combined benefits of high resolution and LED brightness deliver a high definition image for both static and video content viewable from distance even in bright sunlight conditions. Operating in full sunlight Disclite can produce an equivalent light output of up to 5000 NITS.

A 6mm pitch LED screen 1200 x 600 mm would require 20,000 LED's which makes the capital cost of the higher resolution system far too expensive to make the ROI work and running costs high with electrical power consumption measured in terms of kilowatts.

Using our patented technology we are achieving a 2mm resolution on DiscLite using just 512 LEDs which makes the picture resolution ideal for small format screen locations and significantly reduces the capital cost of the product as well as requiring at full brightness just 270 watt per disc maximum of electrical power.

Disclite Operation

DiscLite can be supplied as a complete stand alone unit requiring only connection to an electrical supply.

The display image is controlled using DVI Image capture.

DiscLite is controlled by Litelogic's proprietary software platform Litecast which is at the core of all Litelogic's digital advertising and content management and can be continuously monitored remotely via a web based link. Connection to the embedded Litecast software to load content can be used in the following ways;

- Manually using memory sticks

- Locally using Wi-Fi or local network

- Remotely using internet connectivity (provided by GPRS, 3G, wired or wifi) to web based servers
