Dave Shapton is an experienced digital media consultant and author. With over 200 published articles, Dave’s clients include BBC Technology (now Siemens), Quantel, Microsoft and Sony Broadcast and Professional and Thomson Grass Valley.

Dave has been working with Digital Media since 1985, when he was the co-developer of the world’s first DSP-based digital audio mixing console.

In 2007, Dave wrote the definitive report for Metronet (the service provider to the London Underground) advising them on ways to raise revenue through IP based voice and media services. In this paper, he identified a potential £150M of additional revenue. The report was presented to the UK’s Minister of Transport.

In the last few years, Dave has been advising on trends and developments in the field of digital media and telecoms convergence, and has been instrumental in developing new techniques in digital signage, based on the idea that any commercial organisation needs to have a presence in the digital domain.

Dave has extensive business experience and has joined Litelogic to sharpen the commercial focus of the company’s technical division.
